Parent/Student Letter

 Letter To Parents/Student Teachers

back to school

8/8/16

Dear Parent/Guardian and Student,

I simply cannot believe our summer is over, and we are back at school. I know this is going to be a great year, and I appreciate the opportunity to get to know you and your student. Thank you so much for your interest in Early Childhood Education.

Our goal is to learn about child development, positive methods of behavior management, how to develop daily lesson plans and curriculum for an entire year for preschoolers and related careers. An essential commitment to this learning experience will hopefully lead to developing the skills necessary for a successful and rewarding career with children.

Students will be working closely with preschool age children. Because our children are our most valuable entity, following safety procedures and exhibiting responsible, professional behavior is imperative at all times. All students are expected to be positive role models always showing respect to students, teachers, children, and parents at all times. Students should dress appropriately following the dress code for all Etowah County Schools. Students should also practice good personal hygiene. Language used in the Child Care classroom should be appropriate for the hearing of any three and four year old child.

Fees for the year include:

Classroom fee $30.00

FCCLA $12.00

Total: $42.00

(Make checks payable to Etowah County Career Tech Center or ECCTC)

Supply List: Students will also need:

jump drive/flash drive

3 ring binder - 4”

Notebook paper

5 packs of dividers

Pencils

2 packs of computer paper

Jump drive

sheet protectors

I am looking forward to a great year of fun and learning. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at 256-538-3282.

Sincerely,

Jackie Campbell, Early Childhood Education Instructor
