The Future is Green for Electronics!!

The use of recycling, alternative energy sources and preservation of our natural resources will determine the future of our student's children and grandchildren for generations to come.  The worldwide energy crisis is here.  For many years, Presidents, Kings, Prime Ministers and other leaders have spoken of the future of the oil crisis and what will happen when it begins.  Wars have and are being fought for the freedom of access to energy, mostly crude oil that is needed to quench the thirst of the world's economy.  This, coupled with the need for petroleum, has changed the worlds view on solar energy, wind and alternative fuel cell technology.   This has now become an issue with leaders worldwide such as President William Jefferson Clinton as he and other world leaders seek energy and humanitarian catastrophic relief for people worldwide.  The following will be needed for future electronics positions:

The use of simple solutions such as planting sod on inner city building rooftops, whitewashing the roofs of flat buildings or simply unplugging phone/laptop chargers after use can result in saving of money and energy.  Renewable energy is the pathway to "Green Technologies" and will play a vital role in the future of electronics technology as students prepare to enter the workforce.
