
My name is Walt Simmons and I live in Hokes Bluff, AL with my wife, Haley, and our two children, Addison and Tate. In 1998, I graduated from a high school in West Point, MS, where I was born and raised. After high school, I was lucky enough to receive a baseball scholarship to the University of West Alabama. There, I played ball and got a degree in Industrial Technology graduating in 2004. I continued my education and enrolled at Jacksonville State University to complete my second BS degree in Technical Education.
After graduating from JSU in 2008, I began working as a Career Coach at Gadsden State Community College. I moved positions in 2011 as Assistant Director, CARCAM. In 2014, I was honored to become Etowah County's Cooperative Education Coordinator.
