The Health Science Program is a joint venture with the Etowah County Career Technical Center and Job Corps. The program is a year-long, high school elective course for two blocks per day. The Health Science Program is housed at the Etowah County Career Tech Center and is available to students enrolled in the Etowah County School System. Health Science Technology introduces students to a variety of helping professions in the health care sciences. Students explore career possibilities including nursing, medicine, physical therapy, emergency medicine, medical laboratory technology, respiratory therapy, environmental sciences, and informational services. The Health Science Program provides students with knowledge regarding common skills, education and training, and job requirements in selected fields.
