Automotive
Technology provides training using the latest technology and
equipment. It includes training in the use of computer and other
electroniciagnostic and testing equipment, technical manuals, and
problem solving methods. Instruction and practice are provided in the
diagnosis of malfunctions, disassembly of system components, parts
inspection and repair, engine overhaul, electronic and fuel systems,
suspension systems, brakes, drive trains, manual and automatic
transmissions, heating/air conditioning, and all computer control
systems. The Automotive Service Technology Program is ASE Certified.
Content standards are based on National Automotive Technicians Education
Foundation (NATEF) and Automotives Service Excellence (ASE) standards.
